Time travel and murder make for a hell of a day at work.
The University of South Florida has been working on a suit that lets people walk through the current of time itself. And when a series of murders plagues Tampa with no leads or evidence to go on, they call on yours truly to test it out! My name is Detective Sean Papadopoulos. I work Homicide for the Tampa Police Dept. — God help me.
But when I step into the past, someone is back there to meet me. More like the shadow of a man, straight from my nightmares. And the first thing he does is try to kill me without so much as a hello.
This job just got a lot more exciting.

What’s the point of being a vampire if you still have to run for your life?
My name is Marcus Cross, and I’ve been a vampire for over a thousand years. – But I am not immortal.
Today’s vampires are nothing of what we once were. Humans are selling us their blood. Vampires are adding a dash of it to their pumpkin spice lattes for a kick of flavor. The truce between humans and vampires has left both sides fat, stupid, and overpopulated.
So I engineered a swarm of vampire bats from the blood of Lillith, herself. Their bite will turn the humans and infuse them with the strength of the Old Ones. We tested them on the people of St. Regina Island. Or so was the plan. But there were too many. And they were too hungry. They’ve killed most of the humans. What lingers is vicious and rabid.
Now – We run!
